Outreach Team

NARIT's outreach team, prioritizing public engagement and astronomy education, distinguishes NARIT as a unique global organization, showcasing its societal impact and fiscal responsibility. Since the early days of NARIT, starting with a small team, it has evolved into a robust unit of 60 members. Apart from planning and organizing outreach activities and teacher training, the team also creates and produces exhibition content and media materials in-house. Additionally, NARIT's outreach team advises other science centers in astronomy and space science nationwide.

NARIT employs various methods to raise awareness and communicate astronomy to the public, catering to diverse target groups including youth, teachers, the general public, amateur astronomers, and inclusive individuals. The aim is to inspire and cultivate interest while fostering a learning society that prioritizes science and technology. Tailoring formats and content to meet the needs of each group, NARIT's activities attract over 600,000 participants annually.

In an effort to enhance astronomy education opportunities, NARIT identifies schools to receive telescopes and other astronomy-related learning materials for classroom instruction and community activities. As of 2023, a total of 610 schools across 77 provinces in Thailand have participated in this initiative, igniting widespread enthusiasm for astronomy.
